This is what I’m doing right now.
[Last updated January 17th, 2025]
Last month I graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Japanese. Now I’m just waiting for my diploma to show up in the mail. It was, and still is, a strange feeling — to spend hours every day for four and a half years studying a language I still suck at, then to wake up one day and have no external pressure to do it anymore.
I’m catching up on things I’ve neglected in the marketing agency. It’s mostly writing documentation to delegate things only I know how to do, but we’re also working on productizing some confident upsells, which we’ve never really had until now.
The podcast has grown a lot lately. Even though it’s where most people see my face, I don’t have a lot to say about it other than Jake deserves the credit. We still haven’t cashed out yet, but look forward to it.
I bought a 3D printer and over the weekends have been testing designs for trackball mouse accessories. The plan is to make a small business I can bring over to Japan.
It’ll likely be another couple of years before I update this again. If I don’t, assume no news is good news and that Jenny and I are living the good life in Japan 🙂
